Andrea and James
I don’t often get asked to make tea length wedding dress and now I’ve made two in a row! Tea length is such a great option for summer afternoon weddings, especially if you want to really dance.
I so enjoyed working with Andrea and meeting two of her daughters who were also her bridesmaids. Andrea came to me with some very specific ideas on what she wanted her wedding dress to be, and once we found this beautiful lace it helped us finalise the rest of the design details. The lace is heavily embroidered at the top fading out to loosely scattered petals at the hem.

Kelly has such a great sense of style, and was looking for something very specific, it was such a joy to be able to work with her and create the dress she had in mind. Even better, I’ve been wanting to make a dress with polka dots for a while!

Erenna and Matt
Erenna found a beautiful all over beaded lace that she was keen to use. We came up with a design that would make the most of the lace, with minimal seams to interrupt the beading. With a little stretch as well, and a beautiful weight to it from all the beading, it felt incredible to wear.

Tess And Chris
Designing the perfect wedding gown for Tess was a great opportunity to work with some colour! The wedding photos were going to be against a snowy white backdrop and we felt that using her favourite colour, a soft lilac, would be a great way to have her stand out.

Evelyn had a clear idea of the style she wanted and was looking for someone who could bring it into reality. As she was travelling to a hot climate for her wedding we selected fabrics that would travel well and be comfortable in the heat.
Many of the lace flowers were cut from the lace and individually sewn onto the bodice.

Kate was expecting a precious little one while we were planning a gown for her wedding day. The aim for her gown was to be cool and comfortable, and would allow for her changing figure while still looking like a beautiful bride.
Eva Bradley took some stunning photos on the day, and in her words "Who knew a very pregnant bride could look so ethereal and beautiful?!"
This dress was made for a show. It is of very fine silk, and the skirt is made up of 2 full circles of fabric.
Hayley was looking for a simple and elegant dress and she specifically asked for the skirt fabric to wrap across the front. I love that made to measure design allows people to wear what they envision in their mind but can't usually find in a store.
Lauryn wanted a romantic style for her gown. She had purchased a stunning piece of french chantilly lace and a vintage brooch from overseas that she was keen to incorporate into the design. As we only had 1m of the lace to work with we used it to its maximum. The top of the dress and sleeves were left unlined to allow the delicate lace to show clearly. Then individual flowers were cut from the lace and hand sewn onto the front of the skirt, flowing down from the brooch she supplied.

Cartwheel skirt
This was a made to measure skirt, made of a beautiful light weight cotton with pintucks and metal beaded "cartwheels" sewn all over. Wherever the beads were in the way of a seam, the beads were removed, the seam was stitched then the beads were hand sewn back in place over the seam.
An example of tailoring by Kimberley. This coat was made from a stunning red wool and the edges were hand stitched in white thread for contrast. Elements of the design were inspired by the customers previous much loved, but worn out coat. We were even able to improve on a few elements from the previous coat, using a warmer fabric and designing a more flattering collar.
